Research and commitment to clean energy production

PROGECA carries out analysis, design and implementation of interventions and systems aimed at the production and use of energy derived from renewable sources. Any investment in renewable energy sources applied to existing activities must always be based on a preliminary analysis of the Client's needs, study of historical consumption and return on investment.

PROGECA offers services of:

Progeca is also concerned with the entire authorization process for the realization of the plants, which involves the preparation of numerous paperwork and the management of relationships with various authorities, which vary depending on the power and type of plant to be built. Always attentive to issues related to the environment and energy, in addition to proposing and developing the use of renewable energy, it constantly studies and researches new structural and plant solutions, aimed at achieving significant energy savings and greater respect for the environment that surrounds us. In addition, Progeca has developed important partnerships with those manufacturers of technological systems, with whom it shares the common goal of seeking the best energy efficiency at the lowest possible cost.

Safety on site

Profiles and tools for safe worksite operations

The experience gained in the shipbuilding industry enables us to consciously operate in the field of safety, taking on the tasks required by current legislation:

✓ Construction manager (art. 90D. Lgs. n. 81/2008, as amended)
✓ Safety coordinator during the design phase (art. 91D. Lgs. n. 81/2008 and s.m.i.)
✓ Safety coordinator in the execution phase (art. 92D. Lgs. n. 81/2008 and s.m.i.)

In order to enable Clients to devote themselves exclusively to the core activities of the project, PROGECA carries out all general site preparation and logistics works, such as:

✓ Fences and perimeters;
✓ Office and toilet barracks;
✓ Design and erection of provisional structures (scaffolding);
✓ Electricity, telephone, and metered supply utility activations;
✓ Setting up site electrical installations and grounding networks;
✓ Setup of beverage distribution points;

In addition to initial installation, periodic maintenance is contemplated to ensure site efficiency and maximum safety conditions over time.

Urban planning

Solutions that respect the environment and the land

Changes in the economic and financial landscape, which have taken place in recent years in Italy and around the world, have led many cities in our country to reconsider their places and spaces with a view to sustainability, utility and new visibility. Old factories that are now disused have given way to large residential complexes and shopping and business centers, creating new needs in terms of viability and transportation as well. Production processes have evolved and industries need efficient production lines. PROGECA is constantly renewing its commitment to urban redevelopment, with activities ranging from analysis of land needs, feasibility studies, implementation of subdivision plans, and review of spaces, proposing engineering solutions that respect the environment and socio-economic values.

Project & Construction Management

It is a service mainly oriented to coordination and control, aimed at Principals who want to properly verify the project specifications, entrust the execution of a work to several Firms, and enter into different contracts.

Progeca takes charge of:

✓ Verify that different contracts are complementary to each other, coordinating any additions;
✓ Verify the specifications and basic requirements;
✓ Verify the achievement of the targets set by the Client in terms of time, cost, and project quality;
✓ Anticipate and resolve site issues and contingencies;
✓ Perform any other related activities necessary for the successful completion of the work.

The activity is carried out through a project manager and one or more assistants, who are present on-site continuously throughout the duration of the work. Periodic coordination meetings are conducted on an as-needed basis, aimed at the maximum exchange of technical information among all firms and professionals involved.

Procurement activities

Tender preparation, management and control actions

Procurement activities include those preparation, management and control actions necessary for the issuance and smooth operation of a tender.

Specifically, PROGECA supports its Clients by developing the following activities:

✓ Preparation of specifications, graphics and specifications for tenders
✓ Preliminary identification of a shortlist of companies capable of carrying out a specific intervention
✓ Issuance of tender documents

Energy Certifications

A scientific approach to energy aspects in construction

The entry into force of the mandatory Energy Certification of Buildings represents a turning point in Italy for the development of a scientific approach to energy aspects in construction, quantifiable with comparable parameters that can condition the commercial value of a property and the choice of the buyer. Property owners, investment funds, and large operators find themselves in the position of having to prepare "Energy Certification" in order to be able to sell portions of their assets, as a prerequisite for the deed of sale.
A decisive role in the classification of the home, and the resulting value of the home, is therefore assumed by:

✓ Technologies, materials and installations, aimed at drastically curbing energy consumption
✓ Professionals who provide for such facilities in their designs
✓ Builders who stick to the plans and use the correct materials

PROGECA offers "Energy Certification" service, as required by current legislation (Legislative Decree 311/2006, as amended), including through qualified EGE (Energy Management Expert - Certificate No. IT.17.03.EGE.RM.0001) personnel.

Decommissioning assistance

Engineering and support for plant decommissioning

Decommissioning of a facility is the downgrading, decontamination, and dismantling phase that has the ultimate goal of achieving demolition and the removal of all constraints due to the presence of contaminating materials at the site. Achieving this goal goes through the steps of treating pre-existing waste and dismantling equipment, facilities and buildings.

Engineering activities offered by PROGECA for decommissioning include assistance for complete or partial removal of the facility through decontamination of structures and components, removal of components, demolition of structures, disposal of waste generated, remediation, and final release. The objective of these activities is to enable the site to be restored to pre-existing conditions, always ensuring that the health and safety of the workers involved in the activities is safeguarded.

Maintenance services

Maintenance management of real estate assets

The maintenance services activity is aimed at Clients who are responsible for managing and maintaining industrial or civil real estate assets over time.

PROGECA offers the design and governance of the entire maintenance service, both routine and extraordinary, for:

✓ Building maintenance;
✓ Electrical and special systems maintenance;
✓ Maintenance of thermal fluidic and energy systems;
✓ Maintenance of active security and fire-fighting systems;
✓ General and specialized cleaning services (sanitation);
✓ Green spaces;
✓ Roadways.

Progeca develops design services integrated with both the elaboration of Work Files (Legislative Decree 81/2008) and actual technical-functional needs.

Recently, it has designed a dedicated Software for the interactive use of a Technical File of the Work drafted for the management of a High Speed Station; by means of this SW it is possible , by way of example but not limited to:

✓ Organize preventive and maintenance activities through event calendars in which operations on civil works, electrical and mechanical systems are divided,
✓ Verify existing operations calculated by the system according to preventive/maintenance cadences on all surveyed objects,
✓ View the physical location of an object present in the station,
✓ Enter a new activity on a specific object, such as an extraordinary maintenance activity; the tab allows you to report the object code, the room, the floor to which it belongs, and possibly the personnel doing the work.
✓ Print the excerpt from the file that shows for each floor, for each room, and for each object the preventive and maintenance activities to be carried out, their cadence, and information on hazards and PPE.;
✓ For each room, there is a sheet in which details on accessibility, lighting, hazards at heights if any, equipment in operation, and auxiliary means rented are given.

Regulatory adjustments

Regulatory and functional adaptations of spaces, structures and facilities

As part of building renovations or industrial relocations, PROGECA proposes adaptations of structures, lay-outs, and systems, which may be functional, i.e., upgrades necessary in view of a new building use, or regulatory, i.e., dictated by a specific legal standard.

In the case of functional adaptation, PROGECA designs the new solutions in concert with the demands and needs expressed by the Client and any other designers involved.

In the case of regulatory compliance, PROGECA carefully examines the current state of the structures and/or facilities and designs the necessary solutions to bring them into compliance with current regulations.
